Hi there David and fellow listers,
there's no need to do the full error check, you can do the quick check, you 
don't go and check the boxes you just hit the space bar on check now. if 
there's any serious problems then the computer will then tell you after the 
check that you need to perform the full check, this error check takes 
around 5 to 6 minutes to do, then you can do the defragmenting with no 
problems..
