I am in the process of working this out with the facility director and Chief
of the IT Service. Can you be more explicit about the political issues.
For example, does the addition of the jaws software to the service raise any
heightened concerns regarding security?
Thanking you in advance,
Jeff

This works the only catch is being able to put jaws on the server.
Sometimes there are political issues around installing jaws on a production
server. It is an issue you need to raise sooner than later.

Assuming your setup is what I'm thinking of, in order to do what you're
asking you'll need to have purchased JAWS pro for both your home and work
computers. The work computer should have a version on it running with a
remote access enabled license (FS adds an extra charge of I believe $200 for
that). According to FS's website, that's all you need to be able to use
environments like what you're talking about.

Please excuse my ill informed and poorly phrased question, but here it is.
I want to access my work computer from home. The initial attempt was
partially successful. I am using something called a VPN connection.
Others
can access their entire desktop including their Outlook account. The
attempt to give me full access was unsuccessful as it was not compatible
with jaws. I can access my patient's medical record which is the single
most important program and it is very helpful and at times clinically
relevant. They are in the process of switching to a new remote access
program, but the IT fellow who the hospital was kind enough to send to my
home to set up the first says that the new one will be using citrix and he
expects that jaws will not be able to recognize it.

Can anyone comment given the sketchy details which I have given you?

Thanks, Jeff
