Yes Judy you are right,I have won a few battles this year but am tired, one can fill the statute books with laws but if there is no financial backing for the supportive agencies to take on cases, what good is it? I best getoff my topic before I am told off, is just that on the way to a Major Eye hospital by the way who have lost all, yes all my case notes and this time I will not let it pass, well the ambulance picksup other people who live in small villages 2 buses a day, cannot read their mail any more would love to have Jaws or be taught computing no family at home nearest town too far to go, I know there is no help for them, what little savings they have they need. I guess it is the same out there win one lose one but keep trying. Dorothy----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy Jones" <jtj1@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Dorothy, No problem. I figured you were from elsewhere, but I understand what you're saying. Your guy from the tech department who kept tapping the screen is right, but you and I know it's not "your computer's fault, so to speak." Moving on from there, fault isn't the point. The solution is. Getting that doc into an accessible format. There are always going to be people out there who need to be educated, and if we can do that, one at a time, we're doing our job. I prefer Braille use, but use a lot of speech for information, too. Have a great day, and hang in there. Thanks for your help. I was saying in the Uk, under the DDA act and you may have a similar act in America,Service providers must make information available to all! or make a reasonable adjustment, hence since many now come into the loop i.e Professionals andwellnot many exclusions, and under the FOI Freedom ofInformation act make information easy to get at, no good saying to an elderly person who may have sight lossgo out buy at some huge expense a computer and learn it, some may cope with CCtv or bold print or Cd or tape but there you are. I still insist on some things in audio form like Cd for information then if all else fails and it can and does! I am still able to have some privacy and do not want to hear"who normally reads your mail" sorry for that outburst -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
