Alicia, To the best of my knowledge After you go to view and choose header and footer you are ready to type in the top left side of your header. Pressing tab will put you in the center, and pressing tab twice after entering header and footer will have you typing on the right side of the header. Pressing down arrow after entering header and footer will place you in the footer where the tabbing sequence is the same. Another email suggested looking at the header and footer toolbar which I have not yet had a chance to do. The problem is that I need to add a header that says one thing and a footer that says another. How do I add this information in the proper format. For example the footer I have to add is one thing on the left hand side of the page another in the center and yet another on the right. When I press enter on header or footer it does not give me an option if whether or not I want a header or a footer. I hope this makes sense. When I enter on header, it says "print" for print view. To do the header, you enter on headers and type what you want. There is no formal dialogue box. Here is an excerpt from a message from Debbie on the topic... This is a helpful hint on JFWLite in the word section that Cathy Anne wrote up for us once. Adding a header: 1. open the view menu 2. press enter on header and footer 3. you may input the text for the header immediately or, you may access the header/footer tool bar for more options. To access the header/footer tool bar, press the alt key and then press control + shift + tab to access the tool bar. You may use the right and left arrow key to navigate through the options. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alicia To: jfw Sent: Monday, September 04, 2006 11:23 AM Subject: adding headers and footers to word documents Hello, Everyone: I thought that to add a header or footer to a word document you click on view; then header and footer; then a dialogue box pops up to enter your information. Is it different with JFW? When I follow those steps there is no dialogue box and the focus returns to the document.
