Word processor or Other Office programs with JAWS?

Hi all,
I'm speaking especially of Word Processors, being a student. does anyone
know of a powerful alternative to Microsoft Word that would work with JAWS?
I know you get Ability Office or Open Office, do they work well with JFW? If
they don't, how about a stand-alone word processor?
