I also agree about using Acrobat PDF reader. Sometimes the formatting of documents makes them hard to read. Sometimes tables aren't recognized. Pressing enter on links in documents doesn't often work. Load times can be very slow depending on the presentation mode chosen. And, more.

I've heard there are something like 50 PDF reader alternatives so there probably is a good one for screen readers out there. There's a reason programmers are coming out with so many alternatives to Acrobat reader.

I too have to join Gary in saying that I find it very unintuitive to
use. Not impossible, just difficult; it seems everything I want to do
is always harder than it should be, and the files themselves are *huge*.

I have tried it only once and found out that it's inaccessible.
Adobe reader is very accessible for me using jaws and win-eyes.
I don't understand why you can't use adobe reader when all major screen
readers support it very well.

hello has anyone used fox it pdf reader with JAWS . How
useable is it and how well does it work with pdf documents. I saw very
good reviews on CNET and that is why I figured I would ask about it on
the list. I am getting more and more frustrated with adobe an figured I
would look around for alternatives to being able to read pdf document
without having to download the bloat ware which is Adobe acrobat reader
8.1.12. if any one can advise on the alternatives I would appreciate
it.
