Best not look a gift horse in the mouth. I bet it does have to do with someone wanting a corner of the Finnish adaptive tech market. conjectures off the top of my head: I don't think number of speakers plays all that much of a role as the market they want to target. English and Spanish are the primary U.S. Markets and French grabs Canada. Brazil is more likely to have a merket for Jaws than Portugal so, the Portuguese is Brazilian. I'm really curious as to why a Hindi version reading the Devanagari script isn't out or a Mandearin version. those are big high tech computer industry markets and, also, have huge populations of speakers. Different from, say, Arabic, which, while the area of distribution is immense and the number of speakers is quite large, it's not a language that is associated with high tech and computer industries.
