Sadly the ones that sound really good, real voice like are not very responsive. When I hit tab I want to hear tab not a 2 second pause and then tab. Even with the new real speak voices it's all most like I can feel the computer straining to work while it's speaking.

Eloquence seems to be the best one when it comes to responsiveness, Next to that is the IBM voice in open book and then maybe AT&T or one of the others I can't remember right now.

Of course if you just want something that sounds really good but don't care how sluggish your computer is go for any of them.

That all depends on what voice you like. People like different synths, it's just a fact of life. Like me personally, I absolutely can not stand eloquence, but 99.9% of the blind population insists on using it. So all you can really do is look at all the different Sapi 5 voices out there and pick one you like and stick to that.
That really is the best advice I can give ya.
