RE: What might be the best sappi voices?

I wasn't referring to a punctuation problem, just the kind of close look
I would give a Braille document, if I wanted to really see how something
was written or spelled. I stick with "most" for just about everything
except The Bible.

I think you may be able to fix the punctuation problems if you set your
punctuation to controlled by jaws from controlled by synthesizer. To me
the
realspeak voices for jaws8, are a little less responsive and they sound
like
there's some static in there, how someone would sound with a scratchy
throat.
There certainly more human like.

Eloquence wins hands down over RealSpeak in overall intelligibility. I
almost never ask for a repeat, unless I need to more closely examine
spelling or punctuation. I formed a favorable impression of IBM's
voices, based upon my testing of their speaking Web browser several
years ago.

Sadly the ones that sound really good, real voice like are not very
responsive. When I hit tab I want to hear tab not a 2 second pause and
then
tab. Even with the new real speak voices it's all most like I can feel
the
computer straining to work while it's speaking.

Eloquence seems to be the best one when it comes to responsiveness, Next
to
that is the IBM voice in open book and then maybe AT&T or one of the
others
I can't remember right now.

Of course if you just want something that sounds really good but don't
care
how sluggish your computer is go for any of them.
