Just for your information, I heard from Gateway the other day that as of June 30, windows XP is no longer available on new computers. I use Vista on my laptop very effectively and have no trouble with Vista and JAWS working very well together. I would suggest that this is the most stable system I've ever owned and am very happy with JAWS's performance with Vista. Be warned with Dell, read everything carefully. I unwittingly purchased a Dell desktop and wound up with a system that has no room for a second hard drive or CD-ROM, or any additional card slots.
