This idea is greater than anything--it's a snap to use--I used it and it
works
great!
One little thing though, you don't even have to hit alt-a after you've
opened
the dictionary with insert-d as you are automatically placed on the "add to
dictionary" button; simply hit the space bar, tab and enter that pesky
little
sign you want to remove and follow the prompts from there. I can't imagine
how
many hours I would have saved if I had made this change earlier instead of
listening adnosium to all dem wacha muh caulit signs!

Well, one of the tricks I've done so that Jaws doesn't read greater signs in
E-mails is this...
I hit insert D. This opens up the dictionary manager.
You don't need to turn on the default settings for this one if you don't
want to.
Next, I hit alt A, for add words.
I simply type in the greater sign all by itself.
Tab to replacement word and just hit the space bar.
Then, tab to OK and hit enter.
Then alt F4 out of it and save the changes.
Now, the grater signs will still be in the E-mail, but Jaws will not read
them out loud. Because when Jaws sees the greater sign, it will just skip
over it. I hope this helps. Jack
