Laura The Insert key acts as a toggle in TSO, press it again to get out ot insert mode. Not quite as bad, though. I have two TSO questions remaining, though. 1. What's the best way to get from field to field, and make sure the cursor is in the right place for entry. Sometimes it doesn't seem to be, and the computer dings when I try to type, and my input isn't accepted. 2. When in the ISPF editor, if I want to insert characters or spaces, instead of overtyping characters, how do I get into and out of insert mode? JAWS controls the Insert keys, after all. I think I can tell it to only use the ones on the keypad, but will this work, or is there a better way. Thanks to everyone for patiently answering my questions. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 6:49 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: TSO and JAWS Which version have you got. I had the cut and paste problem with one of our state mainframes, and railed against it for years. Usually reloading would do the trick, but it was annoying. Since going with 8, the problem has disappeared. I can't cut and paste using JAWS, because it doesn't seem to want to recognize what I'm trying to highlight. Beyond that, I can't move to the top or bottom of the screen (which should take you to the Command line) with Home and End. I'm not sure if all of this is because JAWS is interfering, or because there's some trick about working in a mainframe environment that I don't know. Either way, if anyone has any advice, please let me know.
