Sean, I think the problem may be that in order to copy and paste things,
it's necessary to be able to highlight whatever you're trying to copy.  This
is often difficult without some scripting.

When working in a terminal emulation type setting, communicating with a
remote
terminal, the applications menu, alt+spacebar is your friend.  Here there
are
commands for copying and pasting. There is the edit sup menu where you can
copy
and paste things.  The normal controll+v and controll+c won't work because
they
may mean different things on your mainframe.
