Hey Ray,

Thanks for the info on Adobe Audition. It sure is alot cheaper than
Sonar;-) I've downloaded and installed the tryout copy from adobe, and
installed the scripts you pointed to in your message. I recompiled the
scripts as needed, and put a SwitchToConfigurations script in my default
file to force load audition files. I even installed JFW 6 (upgrading from
5.0.844) so those scripts will work correctly. Now I'm making the
adjustments in Audition that the script author recommends.

Here's my problem:
He says that under the view menu, certain items must be checked, and all
others can be left as is. Specifically, "show transport buttons", "show
time window", and "show Sel/view controls" must be checked(taken from the
enclosed readme file). But, in the version I download and installed (ver
1.5) those items aren't found in the view menu. Maybe they have different
names in this newest version. Can you help me here? I didn't have a
problem finding the correct Status Bar settings(also indicated in the readme
file).

Finally, I'm real new to this multi-track recording at least on the
computer-I use a tascam mini-studio sometimes so I'm not completely
unfamiliar with basic concepts. Is there a good source for getting educated
in this software, or a good user group I could join (with a million
questions)?
