Hello
For my last 3 computers including one laptop it takes 90 Seconds for my
computer to talk saying "JAWS" from a cold start. On a re boot it still
takes 90 Seconds to speak.
This has been true from JFW version 4.X to today JFW version 6.2. The
computers have been Pentium 3 and 4 all on a Cable connection. I time each
time I start up so that I don't set and think what is wrong here, I know
that everything is on its normal time schedule!

No,
It isn't connected to any network, so I guess that isn't the problem.

Is Your Laptop connected to a network at start-up? I have found that since JAWS has gone to the ILM authorization, there is about a minute delay if I start my PC when it is not network attached. Startup is normal as long as the network is available.

Since installing JFW 6.1, it takes longer for my laptop to start speaking, when I'm starting it up than it did, when I was using JFW 4.5. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
