Just for the purpose of activating Jaws you can turn the XP firewall on and the
Norton one off, then reverse it when you are done.

I am trying to install JAWS 7. It installs OK but when Norton Internet
security is running I get a message to block or unblock JAWS. I select unblock
but
JAWS then stops working. When I disable Norton JAWS runs OK. Can anyone help.
  thanks
  Paul
