There is a very useful program, I use constantly called power menu.  This
program puts whatever program you want into the system tray.  Thus getting
it out of your way while you are using more relevant programs.  I listen to
either real player or to windows media player while I am using the computer
for other things.  I put these programs into the system tray to get them out
of the way.  I got it from the old www.jfwlite.com site.  I don't know if it
is still up and running.  But all the programs there are free for the
taking.  That program is there, and works on windows xp.
