Hi,
You are absolutely correct. Each person's experiences along with equipment 
make up the bad or good. The nice thing about most applications such as jaws 
is that if the newer version does not work, then uninstall and reinstall the 
older version. No one would fault you for this. You gave it a try and it did 
not work for you or you just plain did not like it.
