I agree. I'm currently using JAWS 8 and don't have a problem in the world with it most of the time, or at least nothing major. I think it will always have its quirks, but I haven't had any major problems with it. I find the version of JAWS 8 that you download from the FS website, as opposed to the original version on the mailed CD, to be reliable. There have been many fewer complaints about this version of JAWS than those about the various guises of 7. Clearly, it all depends on our individual experiences with JAWS, which in turn seem to depend on our machines and possibly on what applications we use. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stacey Robinson" <staceyr75@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Rich, Thanks for the info. As for upgrading I would put in a call to FS as another person stated. This way you can answer any questions they have and they can get the proper info to give you the correct amount. My opinion is to only upgrade to 7.1 at this time and wait a while until some of the problems with 8.0 has been worked out. You can check the archives and see what everyone has stated good or bad about version 8. Take care. Rich ----- Original Message ----- From: Stacey Robinson Hi all, I am new to the list. My name is Stacey Robinson, and I've used Jfw in the past. The last version I had was 5.0. I don't have a pc right now but I'm considering purchasing a laptop. I use the voicenote mpower for email. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how much it would cost me to upgrade my jfw 5.0 to the latest version?
