Right! So in such Intranet systems, as well as for the logon process, the Control-Alt-Delete is used to lock your computer so others can't access your sstuff when you step away from your desk. As near as I can tell, the only reason is that some programmer somewhere decided it would be a good idea to use the control-alt-delete combination to get to the password/security screen in Windows Intranet systems and get to the Task Manager some other way.
