It will certainly be optional. The keyboard and mouse have been around for a 
long time so they aren't going to just abandon something which has worked so 
well.

Also, there are so many groups for which a touch screen would not work, that to 
ignore that part of the market would be almost suicide. Yes the new operating 
system will be targetted at touch screens using hand movements used on Apple 
laptops I believe with their touchpads, but keyboard and mouse functionality is 
already there and wouldn't add to the cost of development by leaving them in.

I wouldn't even waste your time beginning to worry about this.

What would be a nice improvement would be for a voice recognition system which 
iwll work with JAWS out of the box.
