ah, here's an opportunity to learn a new technical word. Fud. What's a fud.
Is it a mistype of an all-capitalized acronym, FUD? If so, what does that
stand for? Or is it a word, in which case what does it mean? any relation to
Elmer Fudd?

Just because a touch interface is optional, doesn't mean it's the
default. Windows seven would fail if your fud was the case because many
hardware offered out at launch wouldn't be totally ready for this.
