Voiceover comes standard on mac which actually makes up for the bigger mac
price tag because you don't have to buy a screen reader. Lots of people think
voiceover sucks because it comes standard on mac, they tend to compare it with
windows narator. But it's everything but a basic free screen reader. I won't
say it's better than jaws but if you learn to use it propperly it would give
jaws a good go. All standard mac programs are accessible and also a lot of 3rd
party software. It is also very easy for developers to write a program so that
it's accessible using voiceover on a mac. Infact a lot of developers write
programs without even realising that they made it accessible, but that's the
magic of the mac programing language.
