another neat keystroke you can use here is control-jaws key- numbers on the number row. This in fact works in any list view. control-jaws-1 reads the first column which is usually the file name, control-jaws key-2 reads the second column which is usually file size and so on. this works best if you have the view in windows Explorer set to details.
