This is an irresponsible suggestion. Better to learn about what you're getting rid of rather than to get rid of everything but these things. You could be asking for an awful lot of trouble. In addition, MSConfig is meant as a diagnostic tool, not a final solution. Better to actually properly disable what you want to disable.

Dell is notorious for loading up a bunch of extraneous stuff. In the Start

it is the last tab which tells you which programs its loading up. I suggest
that you uncheck virtually everything but jaws and your virus protection.
Good luck

If it's a video problem though I'm surprised I haven't had the problem
before.

Hi,
I've seen this problem as well, i've written to fs about it and have
got nowhere. It's for me very infrequent and hard to duplicate, but once
it
happens jfw isn't usable at least not without a reboot, it won't read.
I've
found that using run before startup seems to make the problem more
pronounced, i think it's something video related, or with multiple
accounts
on the xp box, but haven't got anything else on this.
Dave.

Subject: Jaws 9 reading problems on laptop

Hello All,

Earlier this week I had my Dell laptop restored to factory settings by my
tech, not Dell, and I don't know what difference that makes, but I've
noticed that since I've reinstalled Jaws 9 that when I go to the Jaws
cursor
to read anything it won't read the majority of the time, even things it
normally does read. In most cases reading with the pc cursor is fine.
When
I'm right arrowing reading tabs though it won't read the name of the tab
either in the Jaws cursor or the pc cursor, all it says is tab. Does
anybody have any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks.

Troy
