Hello Dorothy; if you want MSOutlook2007 to open in the maximized state everytime you open the program, try the following; 1, desktop, 2, highlight the MSOutlook2007 icon, 3, alt+enter=properties, 4, tab until you hear, run combo box, you will probably hear, normal, down arrow until you hear, maximized, now, tab okay press enter. now when you open the MSOutlook the screen is maximized. also, if you fine this doesn't work, there's a program called, auto sizer, which you can use to maximize various program screens. hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dorothy Ingram-Gorban To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2010 4:46 PM Subject: Re: JAWS stopped reading Outlook windows except when maximised. yes it does that using msoutlook office 7 and windows 7 and I have to keep maximising the window all the time, now on this old exp laptop I have still got,I am using outlook express, for a break I have not tried ms outlook on it coping with Jaws ms outlook and windows 7 on the desktop is quite hard I did not ever have vista, do you think it is the faultof jaws and msoutlook, some time ago on the list was a long thread about Jaws losing focus it seemed to be a frequent complaint. I hope you get it sorted out dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: James Homuth To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2010 3:29 PM Subject: JAWS stopped reading Outlook windows except when maximised. I just discovered this morning a rather unusual problem with JAWS 10 and Outlook 2003; something that, I suspect, only started happening within the last day or two. If I bring Outlook up in the normal view, I can read the tree view containing all of my mailboxes etc, but the actual message list either says blank or starts reading me pieces of either the desktop or another program I have opened. If I maximise the Outlook window, it reads everything it's supposed to. I prefer to keep Outlook unmaximised, because I find when it behaves properly, I like how it reads certain things better like that than maximised. Has anyone else seen this problem and/or come up with a possible solution? None of the programs JAWS wants to read have any kind of option that I can see that would steal the focus partially away from Outlook, but at a quick glance that looks to be what's happening. Pointers would be appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
