Stefen,
I haven't updated yet and this interests me, because there are punctuations
that should change the pace of speaking a little more than they do, in the
version I'm running. I've often been disappointed and felt misled by Jaws
just racing through punctuation marks of that sort unless I actually set it
to say them aloud, which of course is pretty unnatural unless you're doing
some copy editing and need to hear those things, as I sometimes do.

Just how long is the pause you've noticed? Is it that you find it *too* long
for your comfort?

thanks.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but the update seems to have
changed the way JAWS handles semicolons as well. They now pause the speech.
