Yes, itunes 8 is now accessible - vista sp1, jaws 9 and 10. Apple started the roll-out and my itunes installation automaticlly updated to itunes + quicktime 8. And what can I say - it works: alt key brings me to the menues, tabbing through the screen is possible and selections by using the arrow keys is also possible. If you try it, you have to find out which view menu settings are the best for you. Sometimes it is a little bid tricky but tabbing brings you forward from field to field and button to button - even if you have to press tab very often. Jaws uses the default scripts and I hope that fs will have some adopted scripts for version 10 and than the very popular itunes music box will be my favorite. Just try it - if you don't like it you can de-install it. Michael

Betanews is reliable and so that is why I use it. As for itunes 8 accessibility, it's deffinitly a step forward, but it's not the most accessible piece of software. Now more then ever, I hope the other feature not talked about in fs cast is Itunes support, because it's needed. In it's current state it's useable by people like me who like playing around, but it's not very easy to use from an accessibility standpoint in my opinion. I haven't tested it with windoweyes, but the twitter traffic I've recieved on the issue tells me that aparrently it works better with WindowEyes, totally inexcusable IMPO. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
