Hold down the jaws key (0 key) on the num pad + 2 in the number row on your
keyboard until you hear none. You will hear characters, words, characters
and words, none, choose the one you desire.

Subject: Hi everyone

Hi all,

I am not new to the list, but am new posting here.

I have been totally blind for a little over a year now. I have 25 years of
computer experience but learning everything blind has been quite a challenge

for me. I have several questions I would like to ask. I hope everyone can
help me out.

First question is:

Is there a way to get JAWS to not announce every keystroke that I press?
Especally when I am using a recording package to record from the mic input.
kind of annoying to hear JAWS saying the button or keystroke I just pressed
in my recording.

Thanks

Rick
