It is alive... Of course it's running in 40minute demo mode, but my HP laptop is speaking now. Since I couldn't do much productive work without a working computer today, I called FS and was advised to first go to the HP site and download any current video drivers. Did it. Still not working. The next suggestion was to download JFW 6.0. I didn't much care for the 5 hour download on my dialup connection but I didn't see many alternatives. Jaws 6 loaded and supposedly loaded video drivers that FS has improved upon so that it can do the video intercept. At least in my case it worked. FS also tells me that the drivers will also make my Jaws4.5 work as well. I haven't tried it yet. I guess I should but as long as I invested in a monster download, and both 4.5 and 6.0 will only run at the monent in demo mode, I might as well see what 6.0 can do. In the meantime, I'm waiting for a *dongle* from FS. I just hope it isn't anything pornographic *grin*. I guess it is a memory stick of some sort that plugs into the USB slot and does the same thing as the floppy disk authentication. Now I get to get caught uup on work as I fumble around with a new keyboard layout and play with the laptop configuration of Jaws. from Keith H. -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
