So what else is new? Microsoft engaged in predatory practices to quash Netscape so that its IE would become the dominant web browser. Coke is always suing Pepsi. Gillette is always suing Schick. Unfortunately, this is how big business operates in this country. The lawyers all make out like bandits, and we consumers get screwed.

I thought the JAWS users would be as interested in this development as
anyone.

It looks to me like blind users are the obvious losers here, if as is
claimed, capabilities of a screen reader can be patented so that no
other products to aid blind users can make use of them.

Absolutely, unbelievable, and what a loss for us all.
