The realspeak voices are more human-like sounding. However, for normal work they are sluggish and not very responsive, especially compared to an external synthesizer. As to which external synth is better? It is very much a matter of personal preference.
If you want a compromise? You may want to consider the Dectalk Access 32. It is (in my opinion) as responsive as Eloquence and close to an external and sounds close to a Dectalk Express.
I hope I didn't misunderstand your question. Tony An English professor wrote on the blackboard: Punctuate this sentence: 'Woman without her man is nothing'. This might have already been covered, but in comparison to realspeak voices as far as human likeness, how good are external synths. If they are good, one which one woud you buy?Peter----- Original Message ----- From: "Diamond" <tantonio@xxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, January 05, 2007 12:39 AM Subject: Re: External synthesizers via usbIt is working for me. More of a Windows question I suppose in that the adaptor driver would have to emulate a Windows comport.
