George,

I'm fascinated, but could not find anything in the JAWS Options menu
(Insert+V) that would set row and title reading to automatic. Can you dig
out what setting you have changed?

It sounds like something that could save a lot of time for me in the future.

Dave

Dan,
They now in jaws 11 you can go to verbosity and there is a section for
reading and choices for auto reading collum and row when arrowing through
the sheet. I will look later and see how I set mine up then you do not have
to go through those other steps. It also lets you choose weather the first
cell is empty like in my explanation or if the cell has the first item in
the collum.
I found all of this last spring for someone in the jaws help for excel.
