John: shift plus delete willby pass the delete folder, just make sure you
really want to get rid of whatever you are deleting. Cheers, May

  Hello Judith,

I tried control + D and that only sends it to the deleted folder so you might
be right. If I do find a keystroke that does what I want it to do, I will let
you know.

  Take care,

  John

To the best of my knowledge, no such keystroke exists and I don't think that
those who use a mouse can perform this function either. If you don't want it
to hang around go to your deleted items folder, delete it and enter on yes when
they ask you if you are sure. Judith

    Hello,

Does anyone know the keystroke to delete an email from you inbox and keep
it from being saved in the deleted items folder? I am using Outlook 2002 and XP
Home.

    Take care,

    John
