From jaws 10 and above the command is jaws key, control , s. Also, in jaws 11 and above, you can set a profile for an aplication. For example, when I am translating, I usually have another word processor (jard, word pad, notepad, etc.) open. I tell jaws that when I switch to that word processor to switch to let's say spanish and when I switch, it switches automatically. Also, when I tab to another it usually changes back. Because I'm doing two or three things at once sometimes and I will need my English voice for everything but these documents. Brandon, the way to change languages on the fly is to do voice profiles. The reason I don't encourage language dection is that jaws doesn't do a great job identifying the languages. Specially on documents. On web pages, it depends on the creator of the web page and it usually does a great job. But my suggestion is to create a voice profile. That is what I did and it works very nicely in deed. Hello, I posted a little while back if there was an easy way to change Jaw's language for each document? Attached is one document that uses the Italian language and the other uses the American voice. I copied the text into a document I got from Italy and then erased the old text that was there, so all that's left is what I want. But again, this would take hours of replacing text and making sure everything was done right, I might as well just find out what setting triggers this change? Is it the font?
