I too had difficulty switching to the laptop layout. But due to traveling and using the computer in class, I did use the laptop layout a lot of the time. Now, I find that even when using a full keyboard I tend to use manyof the laptop key strokes. I find that not being required to leave the homerow to invoke the jaws cursor or to right click something very useful and fast.
