Dear Judith,
Thank you so kindly for that suggestion, but that is what I have been doing, and it simply takes me too too long to resolve an issue with a word or potential word!

I have been using Dictionary.com and it is O K, but I need something I can install in my machine and access instantly!!

With Kindest Regards,
Alan

Allen, I have word web installed on my computer. I don't have a link for it, but if you google up word web you can access a link. My version is free. You might have to look a bit harder for this version but it should still be there. You can also use on line dictionaries like dictionary.com or ninjawords. Good luck! Subject: Please Recommend a good Dictionary to install

Hello Friends,
I am using XP, Word 2003, and JAWS 9.
Can someone please recommend a good strong Dictionary I can install that is JAWS friendly (or is it JAWS accessible?) to look up definitions of a word, synonyms, antonyms, other information about a word ?

Spell Check was once just fine, but now I am doing a lot of serious writing and cannot rely on my own vocabulary potential or education or whatever you want to call it! (Smile)

I would appreciate it very much!

With Best Regards,
Alan Dicey
