when you go to jaws/help/check for updates,
are you hearing the "UAC"
do you want the following program to make changes on this computer?
yes? no?
if you have UAC on, and your not hearing the sound, this may be why.

Subject: Connection problems
I run win7 ultimate and jaws 11, when i try looking for jaws updates and
training books i get a error message, there is a error with your internet
connection, please try to establish a connection before continueing etc.
Thing is i am connected and my internet works, it seams that jaws is
blocking or not seeing the connection. Is there some place i can go change
settings to fix this?
