I have my pc set so that it doesn't ask me that quistion each time so it can't

when you go to jaws/help/check for updates,
are you hearing the "UAC"
do you want the following program to make changes on this computer?
yes? no?
if you have UAC on, and your not hearing the sound, this may be why.
