Time markers are a function that JAWS added to Winamp, they are not part of Winamp itself.

The bookmarks allow you to return to a file or stream you like for a later time, but a time markers allow you to set a bookmarks in a file ( you can't set time markers in streams) and later return to the same place. For example, you listen or watch long file and you need to restart the pc in the middle. You just add time marker and after restart you can use it to jump directly to the place you stopped. Warning, if you have deleted or moved the file you have placed markers in, they are gone.
