No problem. We are all here to learn and to help. Your english is good I
think, since I can understand what you are saying. If it makes you feel
better english is not my native also.
Now on the question - actually I use Winamp Version 5.3.5.1305. The tmf file
has nothing to do with winamp version, because the time markers are jaws thing. This file stores information that jaws uses. Try first to place some markers and look again for this file. Also, can you reach the address folder I gave to you? If not, try searching for the file. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

hi again

sounds like you are running winamp version 5.5. do the time markers reside
in the same location for all versions of winamp? or, the one you provide
only applies to the latest version.
i'm asking you this because i'm still having difficulty in locating the
time markers or the .tmf as you had indicated, in my version of winamp
which is 5.35.
sure interesting to be able to import the time markers and to resume
listening on another machine when you are on the go.

sorry to bother you again.
please excuse me for my rotten English as i'm not a native speaker.

I think it's possible. I didn't try it myself, but here is something you
can do. Locate your winamp.tmf file. On my machine it is in C:\Documents
and Settings\username\Application Data\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\8.0\Settings\enu and copy it to the other machine. Of
cource you have to copy the files you placed the markers in. If there are
no markers, try to reproduce the folder structure as it is on your pc.
What I'm trying to say is - if your files are in my documents\my
music\artist\album folder on your pc, place them in the same place on the
other pc. Please tell us what happens when you try this.

Yes, they are different. I think I've explained in my previous message
the difference. The bookmarks allow you to return to a file or stream
you like for a later time, but a time markers allow you to set a
bookmarks in a file ( you can't set time markers in streams) and later
return to the same place. For example, you listen or watch long file
and you need to restart the pc in the middle. You just add time marker
and after restart you can use it to jump directly to the place you
stopped. Warning, if you have deleted or moved the file you have placed
markers in, they are gone.
Here is some information from the jaws help:

Time Markers and Time Announcement

The following commands allow you to get time information about the
current track, or to manipulate time markers within a track. These
commands work in any
Winamp window except the minibrowser.

How to locate time markers to resume listening?

thanks.

If you mean time markers, they are placed with the letter m. you can
leave
them automaticly nmamed like "marker 1" and so on or you can name
them
manually and press enter. You can delete time markers with
ctrl+shift+m or
go to time marker with alt+shift+m. All those hotkeys open the
corresponding
dialogue. Ctrl.+i saves markers in a file named winamp.bm. It's
applicable
if you have big playlist and want to bookmark a song you like to
heare
again. Also you can use it to bookmark streams you hear on internet.
You can
find those bookmarks in the winamp menu/bookmarks. The file itself is
located in c:\program files\winamp or
c:\documents&settings\username\aplication data\winamp\.
