Yes, they are different. I think I've explained in my previous message the difference. The bookmarks allow you to return to a file or stream you like for a later time, but a time markers allow you to set a bookmarks in a file ( you can't set time markers in streams) and later return to the same place. For example, you listen or watch long file and you need to restart the pc in the middle. You just add time marker and after restart you can use it to jump directly to the place you stopped. Warning, if you have deleted or moved the file you have placed markers in, they are gone.
Here is some information from the jaws help: Time Markers and Time AnnouncementThe following commands allow you to get time information about the current track, or to manipulate time markers within a track. These commands work in any
Winamp window except the minibrowser. Summary: Time Marker and Announcement Commands Description Command Announce Elapsed Time ALT+SHIFT+T Announce Remaining Time CTRL+SHIFT+T Announce Length of Current Track CTRL+INSERT+T Set Time Marker M Jump to Time Marker ALT+SHIFT+M Remove Time Marker CTRL+SHIFT+M HTH, Negoslav----- Original Message ----- From: "Sabaruddin Isa" <golden789@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi are bookmarks different from time markers? How to locate time markers to resume listening? thanks. You can delete time markers with ctrl+shift+m or go to time marker with alt+shift+m. All those hotkeys open the corresponding dialogue. Ctrl.+i saves markers in a file named winamp.bm. It's applicableif you have big playlist and want to bookmark a song you like to heareagain. Also you can use it to bookmark streams you hear on internet. You canfind those bookmarks in the winamp menu/bookmarks. The file itself is located in c:\program files\winamp or c:\documents&settings\username\aplication data\winamp\.
