K cool then! :-). I would only perhaps seek to encourage you, that you might
wanna teach/adopt the long-held principle, at least the one I was taught by the
Snowman which I find very helpful when reading through code, of starting your
variables with the lowerCase letter of the variable type.
E.g. rather than defining the variable you had as "tabCount", you would have it
as "iTabCount" ... or sTabCount, if a string, or oTabCount, if object variable
... etc.
Otherwise, I love it!!

You do not need to become a github member. You just need to wait for
me to finish that off. :)

Thanks so so much for doing this!
I'm only up to the GetLine function not returning what you expected, and at
present am just perusing, not actually writing/testing, the code, but I just
love the way you've made the things fail, in quite the same way as probably
a newbie would, when attempting stuff! I've never quite seen a scripting
lesson written like this before, and, ... yeah wow! I reckon it's jolly
fantastic!
Must've taken you simply ages to write!!! Thanks much for your so generous
contribution to the scripting community!
BTW, is the last line of what's up there so far, the one that says:
"7. After you have played around with this for a bit, move on to the next
step where I will show you the solution I found."
Or, do I have to become a GitHub membber to read the ress???
Fantastic stuff!
Best
Geoff C.

Here's a walk through I wrote on learning jaws scripting. There is a
part II in the works, but since I haven't received any feedba ck on
part 1 yet, I have left part 2 on the back burner for now .

Hi Csaba,__________
Thank you, I will continue my work in learning JAWS scripting on that
basis!
I can't find the specific FSDN help file "The Essential JAWS Scripting
Handbook", but I did find the "Basics of Scripting Manual" at
https://support.freedomscientific.com/Content/Documents/Other/ScriptManual/01-0_Introduction.htm
And the FSDN help file at
https://support.freedomscientific.com/support/jawsdocumentation/FSDN
Which includes "General Scripting Concepts", "Reference Guide", and "API
Tools".
Are these the correct documents to start with? Or am I missing
something?
Thanks again!

One specific thing I'd like to be able to access with a script is the
"highlighting status" of any give character in a PDF. Not highlighting
as
in "selecting text so that you can then make it bold or italic", but
the
sort of highlighting you can add to a PDF that looks like you've drawn
on
the document with a highlighter pen. Is this information available to
scripts?__________
