The following is my feedback from a total scripting newbie's perspective...
Now having read most of the Freedom Scientific basics of scripting tutorial,
your tutorial is very succinct. I do really believe, and like I said, this is
my feedback from an extreme amateur's perspective, your tutorial's level of
difficulty seems to be about a 6 ranging from a scale of 1, I know absolutely
nothing about scripting, to 10, I have mastered the Basics of scripting manual.
Your manual is a good "exercise book" skills practice type of tutorial. I very
much look forward to the many other real-life examples you will demonstrate in
your tutorial. 😊
Thanks for sharing your wealth of scripting knowledge. I wish to one day meet
your level of ability alongside Doug Lee, Brian Hartgen, and the many others
posting here. Sorry if I'm forgetting the other big names on this group, I'm
simply posting off the top of my head. 😊

Yes, you can link to it from your site.
Now that I have confirmation that people like it, I'll start on part 2.

Or,

Here's a walk through I wrote on learning jaws scripting. There is a
part II in the works, but since I haven't received any feedback on
part 1 yet, I have left part 2 on the back burner for now.

Hi Csaba,__________
Thank you, I will continue my work in learning JAWS scripting on
that basis!
I can't find the specific FSDN help file "The Essential JAWS
Scripting Handbook", but I did find the "Basics of Scripting Manual"
at
https://support.freedomscientific.com/Content/Documents/Other/Script
Manual/01-0_Introduction.htm
And the FSDN help file at
https://support.freedomscientific.com/support/jawsdocumentation/FSDN
Which includes "General Scripting Concepts", "Reference Guide", and
"API Tools".
Are these the correct documents to start with? Or am I missing
something?
Thanks again!
Jim

One specific thing I'd like to be able to access with a script is
the "highlighting status" of any give character in a PDF. Not
highlighting as in "selecting text so that you can then make it
bold or italic", but the sort of highlighting you can add to a PDF
that looks like you've drawn on the document with a highlighter
pen. Is this information available to
scripts?__________
