oh gosh! Jeff, I am not complaining. I was just asking because I am not so
experienced with writing scripts and stuff. Is there any documentation on
some of the syntax needed for functions verses scripts that you might want to
run after a hotspot? Also, on activating a hotspot from within a script?
I really appreciate the efforts that all of you guys put in to this
application. I have been a d.j. for over 13 years and have been using records
and cds. Now the industry is moving to mp3s on a laptop with a program called
serato ScratchLive. You can still use turntables or cd players, but they now
access mp3s on your laptop via serato instead of having to carry tons of music
with you. I now got the app speaking pretty well now thanks to some custom
highlights, a handful of scripts and event functions, and HSC hotspots. I
would actually be willing to pay for some phone support because there are some
sliders that I would like to make accessible. Email me privately if interested
or if you know of anyone else that might be interested. THANKS!

as per can you use hscFunctions in your regular application script file,
  yes you can.
and as to why HscActivateThisSet isn't in the list of post processing
functions,
well, I guess because the list is just a sampling type list of some of the
things we thought might be halfway useful, since to set them up with then
another subsequent input type box to specify parameters, I guess would've just
been further work for developer to do. so not everything has been included.
any jaws function pretty much is fair game here.
some stuff is left up to the scripters to know/learn about/implement. since
the developer is a scripter himself, only a certain amount of "hand-holding",
given the ratio of coding work needed just to duplicate what can already be
learned other ways, is obviously going to be a limiting factor for him to want
to do. plus, hey, it's a free product! <grin.>

what does one expect for nothing!

I used the post processing function you suggested, but why isn't that
function in the list of post processing functions? Also, Can I make use of
HSCFunctions and scripts in my application script file? I really didn't see
any documentation on that. Thanks!

Thanks gian for letting us know.
so re hsc, as this is kinda my baby really, or was till I got
rediculously busy with other scripting project,
But like I've been in on it's development and testing pretty much from
version 3 for the past 3 years,
did you use the post processing function toggle work-around I suggested
you try? or did you call things from within script land and do it that way.
just interested in solutions that work/don't work etc.

        thanks.----- Original Message -----

no, I got it working perfectly now. The attributes are honored from
SayFrame just fine. Thanks Jeff for all of your help. I got everything
working in my app for now. I even have the two sets switching fine. Thanks to
all for helping.

my own experience/thought Jackie/list, was that, at least for
specific colors that might not have been highlights, how you set up the frame,
appeared not to be relevant, when you used SayFrame, from within Script land.
i.e. it appeared to me from the little testing I did of this, that those
particular attributes that you can setup via frame Viewer for the frame when it
activates/fires normally, appeared to me not necessarily honored during a
simple SayFrame Call. But, I could've been mistaken. what's been your
experience in this Gian.

Go into your frame viewer, highlight the frame u created, & click
properties. That should tell u your echo setting.
