For those who are persisting with IE8, it may help to investigate the compatibility feature.
You can find the compatibility options from the toolbar which is reached by pressing JawsKey+f8 and cursor down to compatibility or compatibility settings. In the settings there is a tick box for including a list of sites already marked by Microsoft for regression and you may add your own.
This compatibility is not just a work-around due to faults in IE8, it is a means of rendering sites which have been written to accomodate the previous idiosyncracies of older versions of IE.
Another useful feature of IE8 is the privacy mode. This allows you to open a tab which, when closed, will destroy all trace of its history. This is very helpful for ensuring that trails of your activity are not left on computers which others may use. You can invoke a tab in private mode by pressing control+shift+p.

Yes, you just uninstall the version 8.0 which is listed as "Windows Internet Explorer" and after the restart you will have version 7.0 back. If you are a JAWS 10 user you can by all means update to IE8.0 you have the latest JAWS 10 build on your machine. I would personally be wary (a the risk of being a purveyor of doom). If there are sites such as banks or your shopping, check out their statement of compatibility with the new browser before upgrading. There are some nice advanced features I IE8.0 but personally right now I wouldn't say there was a single compelling case for JAWS users. Regards. One question "rolling back to IE7"? Could you outline the process? I am ok with removing IE8 but will IE7 still be there some in the bowels of the PC?
