Hi list. I'm still having problems with media player as you can see from the messages below, I'm not getting anywhere with Darren's suggestions. I can get as far as bringing up the properties of an MP3 file, but when I use the jaws cursor, all I get is the size of the file and when it was created etc. Any further help would be appreciated as I want to be able to play my music through windows media player. Thanks. Sue. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darren H" <darren@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 12:23 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows media player. Hi sue When you have focus on a file press alt, then spacebar, don't press them together, this should bring up a context menue which your only options should be "move", and "close" You ought to already be highlighted on "move" so just presss enter. Hi Darren. Thanks for your advice. I'm not getting anywhere I'm afraid. When I bring up the properties of a my music file, do I press alt, space and enter together as nothing happens when I press the key strokes? Sorry to sound so thick, but I'm not an expert at these things. Hi Sue Ok, go into your music file folder and press alt enter when you have focus on any of your mp3 files. this will bring up file properties for that file. Press alt then spacebar then enter which will make sure that window fills the whole screen. Using your Jaws cursor, start at the very top and cursor down until you hear jaws say something like File type mp3 Bare in mind it might say windows media file or anything like that. On the next line down it will say something like opens with, then it tells you what program that file type opens with. next to that message is a "change" button, do a left click on that button. this will bring up a list of programs that can open the file, just select your windows media player from the list and tab round to ok and press enter. Now you're back in the properties menue, so just tab round to ok and press enter. your files should all now automatically play in Media Player. Hope that works for you Darren Come up with a snazy name for my new web site and win a ton of free web tools worth over £300.00 www.bigmixentertainment.co.uk/domain-contest.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Morgan" <sue@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 07, 2006 9:42 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows media player. Hi David. Thanks for the reply. I did what you suggested, but media player doesn't appear in the sent to list. Do you have any other suggestions? ----- Original Message ----- From: "David" <david.tregellas@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 07, 2006 8:25 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows media player. Hi Sue, Select an MP3 file, then press your application key and click on the SendTo item in that list. You should find the media player you want therre and enter on that. Hopefully, your file will then be played in that player and all similar files thereafter. Hope it works. Hi list. I play my MP3's through my music. When I tab round to the play selection button and press enter, media player used to automatically open and the files I've selected to play would play. I listened to an audio CD yesterday on my computer. I'm not sure what I've done, but media player doesn't open anymore now so please could someone let me know how to correct this problem and get media player working again? Thanks.
