Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Brown To: Jaws User Group. Sent: Monday, January 21, 2008 8:17 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] Strange message in MS Word. Hi Folks, I have installed Jaws version 9.0 and merged the settings with 8.0, so I didn't have to reset all my preferred settings. Yesterday I tried to set up a template in Word with my address, date, and telephone number etc. i was following some written instructions that I received duringsome Jaws tuition about seven years ago on a much older version of Jaws. I thought I had completed this template O K. but my wife said the template wasn't in the list where it should have been, although it appeared when retrieval instructions were followed. My main problem however is, each time I go into Word to a blank and new document jaws gives a message "unknown function anitoword" spelling this outcharacter by character. I had earlier gone into Jaws verbosity menu in word and selected spelling errors on, and i didn't know whether by doing this, this had caused the above message, so i switched spelling errors off to the default setting, but the message is still coming up spoken by jaws, although my sighted wife says this message is not written on the screen? Does anyone know what is going on? I have X P Home, Jaws 9.0,and I think it is Microsoft Word 2003. Any help appreciated, this message is driving me mad? Michael Brown. The kindness you spread today will be gathered up and returned to you tomorrow.
