George, Tagging on to end of this thread am wondering whether there's any benefit having one programme that does all such as Norton Security. I ask as have had serious problem with Spy ware, Trojans etc that resulted in my pc being taken away and nuked by a friend - he works in IT and said he'd never come across such malicious spy ware, it was a zombie that kept coming back to life once you thought you'd killed it. Anyway the problem is solved but has prompted me to think about whether I need different security solution. I currently use AVG free 7 antivirus, Win Up firewall, MS Antispyware programme and occasionally run adaware. I know there is tuff out there that says it can do all this in one but was wondering whether there's any benefits in terms of either overall security or Jaws-usability. Am using all this on a Win XP home machine with Jaws 6.1. Subtle difference, and of course both products are essential these days. Well, according to my arrowing around it only says that thing about Exploit so I assumed that was the offending file or series of files or whatever. This is a fairly new machine and I have McAfee installed. It has never found a virus though of course there could have been one I suppose. I suppose I'll just have to leave them happily there. Best wishes, Joan. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Reid <mailto:Tom.Reid2@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, June 12, 2005 8:31 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Spybot Hi Joan, Can you get any inf on the names of the problems it finds? Try jaws key plus B to read dialogue or root jaws to the window and up and down num pad arrows. I had the same cycle as you with 5 problems unfixable. In my case it referred to altNet an old virus. Let us know what you get. However, each time I run it, I am told there are five problems, DSO Exploit. Then I use alt F to tell it to fix the problems and enter on the yes button. Then it says, confirmation, ok button so I enter again and it says, 5 problems found DSO Exploit. We could go round in this circle indefinitely but it never does fix these five problems. At least each time I try it again no more problems appear to be found. What am I supposed to do to get them eradicated? Best wishes, Joan. ________________________________ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
