Hi Saqib,
Checking back on this problem, for some daft reason it only
seems to happen on a Friday ! As for the VM customer rep,
you are probably right about the scripted answer but I'll
stick with VM for now.
As mentioned earlier the problem has gone away of its own
accord for now. I took George Bell's advice and fiddled
around with cable connections and that might have cured
things.
Hoep you get your problem sorted out.

Hi Jim I have the same problems with duplicate messages when
using Hotmail
through OE. It might not be a fault from VM's end. As for
the customer rep
you spoke to. They tend to offer solutions by reading from a
compiled
skript. I left VM for BT and get a better service and they
offer free tech
support and remote assistance.
